Void(0) in JavaScript

Void(0) does nothing because expression "0" has no effect in Javascript. In the below example Void(0) is used to prevent the browser to load a new page or moving to top of the page.

< a href="javascript: void(0)">I won't go Any Where</a>

The following example will take the Page to Top, but javascript:void(0) will not move the position to Top.
< a href="#">I will go to Top</a>
